Three days of Prayer videos are based off of LCMC Service Coordinator Mike Bradley’s prayer petitions and themes, learn more at lcmc.net .

If we can pray for you, please submit your request on the Prayer Wall.

So, how do we pray? Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus said, “This, then, is how you should pray.” He did not say this is what you should say, but rather this is how you should pray. The Lord’s prayer gives four specific things to pray about. One of the best ways to remember these four things is through the acronym P.R.A.Y.

PRAISE

Tell God thanks for who He is and what He has done. Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name.” (Matthew 6:9a) See also: 1 Chronicles 29:10-13

REPENT

Confess your sins to God. Tell him how sorry you are for them and that you need His forgiveness. Ask God for strength not to do the sin again. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12) See also: Psalm 51:1-12

ASK

Give your requests to God. Give us today our daily bread.” And “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:11 & 6:13) See also: Ephesians 6:19-20

YIELD

Spend time submitting to God that His will be done in your life. Spend time quietly listening to God. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) See also: Matthew 26:39 & Psalm 46:10a

Rebecca Kent

Baby Girl Garst update. She is doing so well. Was 6 weeks old yesterday. The screws placed last week and turned twice a day to bring her jaw forward, worked very well and those screws removed today. Praises to God in his Grace to protect this little girl and she is flourishing. Gaining well, nursing better every day and still finishing feeds with g-tube in her tummy. Tomorrow she will be dismissed from hospital and go home to meet her 4 brothers for first time. Continued prayers for this family as sure more hurdles will need to be jumped, but with God's leading hand they can be concord. Thank you all for your supporting prayers for this baby girl, Margaret Arlene May Garst.
