Join others for a time of prayer:

Wednesday: A group meets at the West Campus on 180th 2 blocks North of Dodge at 4:00 pm in room W 10/11.

If we can pray for you, please submit your request on the Prayer Wall.

So, how do we pray? Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus said, “This, then, is how you should pray.” He did not say this is what you should say, but rather this is how you should pray. The Lord’s prayer gives four specific things to pray about. One of the best ways to remember these four things is through the acronym P.R.A.Y.

PRAISE

Tell God thanks for who He is and what He has done. Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name.” (Matthew 6:9a) See also: 1 Chronicles 29:10-13

REPENT

Confess your sins to God. Tell him how sorry you are for them and that you need His forgiveness. Ask God for strength not to do the sin again. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12) See also: Psalm 51:1-12

ASK

Give your requests to God. Give us today our daily bread.” And “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:11 & 6:13) See also: Ephesians 6:19-20

YIELD

Spend time submitting to God that His will be done in your life. Spend time quietly listening to God. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) See also: Matthew 26:39 & Psalm 46:10a

Ryan Pramberg - Youth for Christ

“O God, we want this work kept on a miracle basis. We want everyone to know that God's hand is on this movement. We want folks to see that this is too big and too great for any person or group of people to accomplish by themselves. We want folks to say God did it."

Here are some of the ways I’ve been praying for kids and I invite you to join me in it. I can’t give their full stories because time, space, and confidentiality, but here’s some ways to be praying heading into Christmas. Love y’all.

Prayer

For “Kari” and “Ben” this year as they go through the Christmas season without their parents.

Praying for “Jess” as her family welcomes back her brother into the family. For healing, joy, and their growth.

Pray for “Greg’s” family. There’s lots of tension in the family over some poor choices he made. Now his sin is affecting everyone, and it runs deep.

Pray for mom that she gives control to Jesus

Pray for step-dad that he leads and doesn’t withdraw

Pray for dad and step-mom that they fall more in love with Jesus in the pain

Pray for Greg that he turns to Jesus and changes his heart.

Overall, pray for healing for the family.

Praise

We had 1 more person come on board for the monthly Graber Fund. We’re at $265 of our goal of $300. $35 in new funding to go! Pumped!

God’s at work in the life of a student. A young man texted this last week to one of his peers:

“Jo told me last night he felt the urge to pray which he hasn’t in years. And he heard God speak to him and tell him that he’s not alone.”

Two young students learning to listen to the Holy Spirit as he teaches them to love people that are hard to love!

We brought another PT staff member to our team to start fundraising! Ryan Miksch will be co-leading the Kiewit campus with me until a time he feels equipped and empowered to do it on his own! Love it!
