Join others for a time of prayer:

Wednesday: A group meets at the West Campus on 180th 2 blocks North of Dodge at 4:00 pm in room W 10/11.

If we can pray for you, please submit your request on the Prayer Wall.

So, how do we pray? Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus said, “This, then, is how you should pray.” He did not say this is what you should say, but rather this is how you should pray. The Lord’s prayer gives four specific things to pray about. One of the best ways to remember these four things is through the acronym P.R.A.Y.

Tell God thanks for who He is and what He has done. Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name.” (Matthew 6:9a) See also: 1 Chronicles 29:10-13

Confess your sins to God. Tell him how sorry you are for them and that you need His forgiveness. Ask God for strength not to do the sin again. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12) See also: Psalm 51:1-12

Give your requests to God. Give us today our daily bread.” And “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:11 & 6:13) See also: Ephesians 6:19-20

Spend time submitting to God that His will be done in your life. Spend time quietly listening to God. Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) See also: Matthew 26:39 & Psalm 46:10a

Day 3 of Pine Ridge Wanblee

Today went along better with our scheduling plans.

Yesterday, quickly - Norma gave us a devotion about our blessings. She used the story from Laura Story’s songs, “Blessings” which talked about her time during the good and the bad - now - we talked about how do we look at the times in our life and what do we consider blessings. She really convicted us and made us think.

We then talked about the Great Commission - and how and what we should do with it. The idea was it is easy to go on a mission trip and follow it. However, when we go back home sharing the Gospel isn’t as much “fun” - The idea was to challenge each individual that sharing the Gospel is something we should in all aspects of our life - as we are coming and going in our daily life - not just in a place where we may see a need. Please pray that each individual on this trip may continue their mission of sharing the Love of Christ when they get back home - whether that is at school, work, or even at the grocery store! Pray that the Holy Spirit may lead YOU to share the Gospel in aspects of your life too!!

As we continue to talk about being united in Christ - today was another example. The playground has officially began to take shape. This morning alongside Dale and Curtis who help out Bob and Mary regularly - we put in the outline of the playground, as well as, laid out 120 bags of mulch to make the are a little safer for kids to play on. About a block away - inside the building - the playground was being built in phases. We moved one section of the playground to the park and began on the other side. People are really getting excited and are stopping by and helping out! On Friday - they are planning a big ribbon cutting ceremony for the community to celebrate! Please pray for unity within our team, unity within us and the community, and also some nice weather! (It is going to be a little warm soon)!!

We ended the day by going to Badlands National Park to enjoy time together and time in God’s creation! We packed our dinners, spent time in our worship, and then went around hiking as the sun was setting! Such a beautiful reminder of how much God loves us that he made such a beautiful creation for us to enjoy even when we were still sinners!

Please pray for God’s love to continue to be shown, felt, and received.
