April 2020

Hello to all of our LCM family. Spring is finally here and there are some exciting things happening at LCM. First of all, how wonderful that we will be celebrating this month the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! And what an opportunity to share the love of Christ! So please be sure to invite your family, friends and neighbors to join us! Our church will be gathering to celebrate Holy Week, April 5-12. In all likelihood, services will be online for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and of course Easter! However, be sure to check our LCM church website (www.lcm.church) or the LCM app to verify the status of these services. We will continue to follow the recommendations of our civic leaders and our public health officials in regards to public gatherings.
Second, as your church board, we all have a strong desire to be good stewards of the facilities and gifts that God has given us. The board has taken a serious look at the needs of LCM as we pray for God’s direction in meeting these needs. We thought it best to address some potential safety issues that pertain to our facilities. Therefore East campus will be undergoing an abatement project beginning May 14. To completely ensure the safety of everyone, the church will need to remain unoccupied for 2 to 3 weeks. Because of this, there will be a temporary adjustment in our worship services. This gives our church an exciting opportunity to worship all together at the LCM West campus on the weekends of May 17, 24, and 31. There will be a 5:30 PM Saturday evening service, an 8 AM traditional service in the chapel, a 9 AM traditional service in the CLC, and a 10:30 AM contemporary service in the CLC. Sunday school classes will join together also. We are looking forward to gathering with you all for this wonderful fellowship opportunity!
Another big project is our East Campus parking lot. Warmer weather will allow us to move forward on this approved renovation. We are currently gathering bids for this project. Because these renovations are needed for the safety of those visiting LCM we would greatly appreciate your prayerful consideration in financially supporting these projects. We would like to avoid borrowing funds to complete these necessary improvements that pose as potential safety risks.
And finally, LCM is considering some creative ways to provide space for our youth ministry at the West Campus. This project is something that is being formulated currently. Our hope is to have a space available for our youth as we head into Fall 2020.
May all we do at LCM be for His kingdom purposes and bring Him all the glory! And if anyone has any questions or concerns please feel free to ask any church board member. We desire to have open communication that brings clarity and understanding to all.
From your LCM board members, may our risen King fill you with His great love! Blessings to you all!
