Join others for a time of prayer:

Wednesday: A group meets at the West Campus on 180th 2 blocks North of Dodge at 4:00 pm in room W 10/11.

If we can pray for you, please submit your request on the Prayer Wall.

So, how do we pray? Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus said, “This, then, is how you should pray.” He did not say this is what you should say, but rather this is how you should pray. The Lord’s prayer gives four specific things to pray about. One of the best ways to remember these four things is through the acronym P.R.A.Y.

PRAISE

Tell God thanks for who He is and what He has done. Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name.” (Matthew 6:9a) See also: 1 Chronicles 29:10-13

REPENT

Confess your sins to God. Tell him how sorry you are for them and that you need His forgiveness. Ask God for strength not to do the sin again. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12) See also: Psalm 51:1-12

ASK

Give your requests to God. Give us today our daily bread.” And “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:11 & 6:13) See also: Ephesians 6:19-20

YIELD

Spend time submitting to God that His will be done in your life. Spend time quietly listening to God. Your kingdom done, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) See also: Matthew 26:39 & Psalm 46:10a

Prayer Wall

Ryan Pramberg - Youth for Christ

"O God, we want this work kept on a miracle basis. We want everyone to know that God's hand is on this movement. We want folks to see that this is too big and too great for any person or group of people to accomplish by themselves. We want folks to say God did it."

Prayer team,

I’ve been a bit absent on updates the past few weeks. My apologies. It’s a combination of trying to honor comp days from our camps. Now that those are finally in the rear view mirror, I do plan to be every other week as before. Here is a window into the last few weeks

Praises:

302 total campers had a camp experience

85 student met Jesus for the first time. Praise God for 85 new brothers and sisters, including a leader!

88% of them had a positive response to Jesus.

We had one student from the Millard North area who got a Bible for the first time. I’m also thankful for the two Millard North students who said “no” to Jesus’ offer. It means that we get to have future conversations and love them as they process their questions and wrestle with God. I know who wins in the end and am thankful for the process!

Prayer Requests:

1. Success and favor with the schools. We’re tweaking a few things and I’m praying that we can have more access to the middle schools to serve them. If there’s a way to get more Christ-loving parents, volunteers, and teens into the schools, I want to explore it.

2. For our students who met Jesus or want to go deeper, I’m praying small group leaders step up to start teaching them the way. There’s a bunch of baby Jesus followers who need guidance and we want to do that well.

3. Pray for the 37 students in Omaha who said “no” to Jesus, including the two from Millard North. That the “hound of heaven” would win them over this year!

4. One of our students “Karissa” recently moved out of state to get a fresh start with a relative. Pray for her grieving family as they’re hurt by the move as well as her heart to grow and mature.
