Join others for a time of prayer:

Wednesday: A group meets at the West Campus on 180th 2 blocks North of Dodge at 4:00 pm in room W 10/11.

If we can pray for you, please submit your request on the Prayer Wall.

So, how do we pray? Jesus taught us how to pray in Matthew 6:9-13. Jesus said, “This, then, is how you should pray.” He did not say this is what you should say, but rather this is how you should pray. The Lord’s prayer gives four specific things to pray about. One of the best ways to remember these four things is through the acronym P.R.A.Y.

PRAISE

Tell God thanks for who He is and what He has done. Our Father in heaven, hollowed be your name.” (Matthew 6:9a) See also: 1 Chronicles 29:10-13

REPENT

Confess your sins to God. Tell him how sorry you are for them and that you need His forgiveness. Ask God for strength not to do the sin again. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” (Matthew 6:12) See also: Psalm 51:1-12

ASK

Give your requests to God. Give us today our daily bread.” And “lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:11 & 6:13) See also: Ephesians 6:19-20

YIELD

Spend time submitting to God that His will be done in your life. Spend time quietly listening to God. Your kingdom done, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) See also: Matthew 26:39 & Psalm 46:10a

Prayer Wall

Ryan Pramberg - Youth for Christ

Prayer Team,

Jesus has been challenging me personally with what I am willing to pray for. I plan times in prayer, but they’re often short, pointed, and leave little room for conversation. Plus, there’s things I consider “not worth praying for” because I don’t think it’s worth God’s time. Like asking God for sleep for Allison, or health over allergies for myself. It seems so, small and the other side of me thinks “it’s just allergies. It’ll run it’s natural course and be done by May.”

BUT, our heavenly father doesn’t think that way. He enjoys the conversation and all the things I could possibly come to him with. He wants the small and I want to think broader about what I’m “allowed” to pray for. Even if he says no, it doesn’t hurt our relationship to ask! So, this month I’m bringing out a few requests from left field to inform AND ask for prayer!

Praise – we already have kids signing up for camp this summer and I’m thankful for time with them.

Praise – I got conversations with two boys who don’t know Jesus. They asked lots of great questions about faith and one confessed “I’m not that religious.” To which I got to reply “Me either if you mean working hard to get God’s love, but I’ll follow Jesus anywhere.”

Praise – I got to spend a few hours meeting students at Post-prom…my body is clearly not 18 anymore.

Praise – EVERY leader is meeting outside of school with students to go deeper in the Gospel with them!

Prayer – Allison to get sleep. This pregnancy has been rougher than the last when it comes to her body and baby allowing her to sleep.

Prayer - Envelope Fundraiser:

In order to subsidize camp for kids, our staff raises money to cover the cost of leaders and transportation every year. We don’t want leaders to have to pay for time off work! This year that cost is close to $20k, so we’re raising it as a team through the envelope fundraiser.

Prayer- to find people to “fill the envelopes” by Friday, May 3rd. Allison and I will take whatever one is left, no matter the cost, because I believe you always have to have skin in the game. If you would be willing to fill one, or half of one? Let me know and thank you!

Prayer - Over the Edge

Saturday, June 1st where we will send 78 brave souls “Over the Edge” and they’ll rappel 230 feet down the side of the Highline apartment building.

• Pray for this to be a successful fundraiser!

• Pray for good weather!

If YOU want to rappel, recruit a friend, “Toss your Boss”, or “Toss your Pastor” let me know.

Prayer - Part-Time Staff/volunteers

In order to grow Millard North Campus Life we need at least one part-time staff and are praying for 15 more volunteers. This will help us reach 150-200 more kids weekly with the Gospel. I’m praying for that stay at home mom, youth worker, college kid, or retiree who wants to serve with kids and invest in broken kids!

• If you know someone, let me know. Otherwise, PRAY (Mathew 9:38).
