December 2018

All the members of the board would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very blessed Christmas season. This is the time of the year we celebrate our Savior’s birth, as we focus on our church and family traditions. We will be enjoying all the special programs that our church offers especially the children’s programs that help us celebrate Christmas. Our family at LCM has a lot to be thankful for this year, as we have had two new pastors join our church family. We also have pastor Tyler reaching a milestone by serving at LCM for the past 25 years.

Our initiative to “grow young” is starting to bear fruit. By reaching out in our community with various activities, we are creating relationships with people, especially kids, who do not have religion in their daily lives. Our ministry staff is committed to bringing Christ to the lives of more people.

The board, along with input from our staff, is working on finalizing our church budget for 2019. LCM is now fully staffed for the first time since 2014. We have established strong leadership at both campuses to grow our ministries at both locations especially in the youth and family ministries. It is apparent that if we want to grow our outreach, ministry activities, and general benevolence at LCM, our financial giving also needs to grow. We will be having budget review sessions at both campuses in January, and the board encourages feedback from the congregation.

The board approved to create an additional handicapped and family bathroom at the east campus, similar to the one we have at the west campus at our November board meeting. The bathroom in the nursery will be converted to offer a better solution for handicapped individuals, yet the bathroom will continue to be access friendly to the nursery. Through your generous giving to the capital improvement fund the project can be accomplished. We are hopeful to have the project completed in January.

A reminder to all is that LCM’s annual meeting is scheduled for January 27, 2019 at the West Campus. You will be receiving additional information on the meeting in the future. Especially during this season, “Go share the love of Christ today.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you,
Jerry Osborne President of LCM’s Board

For October our spending exceeded income by $66,142.45 and for the year our expenses exceed income by $228,709.60! This compares to last year which was short $57,858.15. We are very thankful to everyone who has contributed to the maintenance/building fund which has enabled us to accomplish some much needed repairs this year and, as you will soon see, the handicap restroom will be completed. It is apparent our financial contributions have to improve if we wish to continue to grow our outreach ministry, youth development, and benevolence programs. Together we can accomplish our goals, so let us prayerfully consider our support for LCM. God bless all and let us give thanks to God as we approach the blessing we have received because of the magnificent birth we are soon to celebrate. Go and Share The Love of CHRIST Today!
